I’d like to contact you regarding an article titled “Ultrarunning events, The Comrades Ultramarathon in South Africa”.
For the past ten years we, at Safari Sun – a family run business based in Sevenoaks Kent, have been creating bespoke holiday and sporting packages to Sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands. Originally from Durban we are rather familiar with and thoroughly enjoy the spectacle that is the Comrades Marathon.
In recent years we have seen a marked increase in the number of people traveling with us to South Africa to take part in the Comrades, so much so that we have applied for and are currently shortlisted to be the Official Tour Operator for the Comrades Marathon in the UK.
We do not operate a “one package fits all” policy here at Safari Sun but prefer to create specific itineraries for each and every group or family traveling with us, from those wanting luxury Five * accommodation and then to spend a week or two recovering on Safari to those who fly-out after work on Friday, run on Sunday and are back in the office for Tuesday.
I was wondering if I could contact you to discuss the possibility of a mutually beneficial joining of forces to promote and encourage more runners from the UK to take in this prestigious event?
